Brilliant...the tech-narrative will hit a hard physical wall: energy dissipation. Right now, AI operates as an open-ended sink of resources, externalizing its massive thermodynamic costs—electricity and water—onto the public while centralizing the returns. The turning point of this social friction won't be philosophical; it will be energetic. If AI fails to rapidly trigger a deflationary energy revolution—delivering cheap, abundant, clean power to the masses—the narrative collapses entirely. Without that energetic payback, the "technolords" are just accelerating Jevons' paradox, burning collective resources to automate human labor. Energy data, not consensus, will dictate the final outcome.

Thank you! That is exactly it. And even if that cheap, abundant, and clean energy were created (for instance, nuclear fusion), the Jevons' paradox guarantees that, in that event, the increase in the consumption of material goods would be so brutal that we would quickly slam into the limits imposed by the fact that material resources are finite. Whether on the energy side or the resource side, capitalism’s disregard for the circular economy guarantees a tragic end for the techno-enthusiasm. The only thing that remains unknown is the exact date.
